Before proceeding, verify that the DocStar client is running!



1.Look to see that the Docstar client icon shows in the notification area (AKA system tray).



2. If it's not there, you'll have to launch this application. Do that by clicking the lower left Windows start button and typing in Eclipse and clicking the Eclipse Client Service.



If the status still says the client is not connected, then:


More than likely this is due to the user's Docstar client being connected to another PC. 


We need to pair the Docstar Client Connection to the PC you're trying to scan from. See:
