Description: In order to enable certain scanner functions, the image reference plates need to be aligned to the proper side. Each will have a white and black side, representing the background color of your scans.

Solution: We need to set the background color to black in order to enable automatic crop. Follow the steps below to check the status of your reference plates. Most often, power cycling the scanner, closing out off your scanning application, or even rebooting the PC will be necessary before the feature will be available.
