There are many different scanners that will work for direct scanning with DocStar ECM. If for some reason it does not work with the "Direct Scan" feature you can always setup DocStar to import from a folder using "Batch Import". 

Usually the rule of thumb is that if the scanner has "ISIS" drivers then it should work. In some cases certain "TWAIN" driver models also can be used with the installation of DocStar's "PIXTWAIN" files which can be downloaded here.
